Saturday Swap Meets is a weekly community marketplace held at the Legacy Park Washington County Fairgrounds. The event is designed to become a long-standing community tradition, offering a consistent, reliable Saturday gathering place for residents and visitors. Our goal is to create a safe, organized, family-friendly environment that strengthens community connections through face-to-face interaction. Unlike traditional farmers markets, Saturday Swap Meets brings together a diverse mix of sellers and shoppers. In addition to local artisans, handmade goods, produce, jams, and jellies, the swap meet features yard-sale items, antiques, secondhand clothing, furniture, tools, collectibles, home décor, and unique “garage clean-out” finds that create the classic swap meet experience. This variety supports a wide range of community members—from hobbyists and families to small entrepreneurs and weekend sellers—while ensuring every week offers new treasures and unexpected discoveries.
The event aims to provide an alternative to impersonal online classifieds by promoting in-person trading, neighborly interaction, and relationship-building. It encourages recycling and reuse of goods, reduces waste, and gives residents an affordable avenue to sell items they no longer need. The swap meet is walkable, open-air, and designed to remain consistent year-round, which is key to long-term success and community participation.
